The Hair Structure & Why It's So Important!

Knowledge of the hair structure is important because it leads you to the issues you are having and how to heal it.

Your hair is made up of 3 different parts. Think of your hair as a house! 

• The cuticle: THE ROOF This surface layer that protects everything inside the hair strand. Opens with heat and closes with cool temp. (This seals everything inside!)
• The cortex: THE HOUSE The part of your hair that gives hair its color, texture, thickness, strength, elasticity and contains keratin. (This is where you need to get the moisture and water to!)
• The medulla: A POOL Serves no purpose, some people have it, some people don't.
