Checking Your Scalp??
WHY?
Checking your scalp is the most important step to a clean scalp and healthy hair growth. Scalp analysis will let you know what products to use on your hair. You will also learn if you have any scalp conditions that you may need to see a doctor for treatment.
Always be sure to check your hair to make sure you’re giving your hair what it needs to grow and be healthy.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ON the SCALP?
When doing a scalp analysis, you should look for Pityriasis (dandruff), oil, sores, cuts, redness, swelling, or anything abnormal.
When the scalp is clean and healthy it will appear clean and free of debris, bumps, or discoloration.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ON THE HAIR AND WHY?
When doing a hair analysis, it is important to know what to look for so that you use the right products for your hair, as well as, achieve the end results that you desire. Breakage, oily or dry hair is the most common, however you also need to look deeper at the hair for more issues such as:
Hair Texture (course, medium, fine) is also very important to know to make sure you use the correct products on the hair.
Hair Density (thick, medium, or thin)
{Fun Fact-A healthy head of medium hair density has an average of 100,000 individual hair strands}.
Hair Porosity (the hair ability to absorb moisture/water/products).
Hair Elasticity (the hair’s ability to stretch without breaking)
Trichoptilosis (split ends).
